These marbles are a perfect way to illustrate size and scale of the solar system. They include the Earth, the Moon and Mars. To accurately display the relative distances between the solar system bodies, put Earth on one end of your pillow. Place the Moon on the other end, or 26 inches (66 centimeters) away. Mars will be between 317 and 2,269 feet (96 and 691 meters) away, depending on where the planets are in their orbit. That's a football field to almost half a mile away.

The Earth marble has a 1.4" diameter, geographically accurate Mars is 1", and the iridescent Moon with mares and craters in their proper positions is .5". The set comes packaged with a beautiful drawstring star pouch, stainless steel stands, and an educational insert with fun facts and cosmic games.
